This powerful art object was crafted using traditional smoke-firing techniques and unites two symbolic sculptures: a gray dove, representing peace, transition, and a message, which can be placed either on or next to a skull. Both elements were carefully shaped from clay and transformed into an expressive ensemble through fire and smoke.
The skull contains an inlay of genuine horn engraved with a Vegvisir – a Norse symbol of protection and guidance. The skull also serves as a tealight holder, radiating a mysterious, silent presence when lit by candlelight.
This composition represents the tension between life and death, message and silence, transformation and protection – ideal for your altar, your ritual space or as a spiritual art object in your home.
