This powerful sculpture is dedicated to Cernunnos, the Celtic god of animals and the forest. His head, sculpted from clay using the smoke-firing technique, rests on a piece of root wood that, as it grew naturally, forms his horns. Adorned with moss, the wood appears alive, as if it were itself part of the forest spirit.
At the tips of the wood, two special symbols are revealed: On one side, gently nestled in moss, lies a snail shell – an emblem of the spiral of life and the perpetual cycle of nature. On the other side rests a deer antler, also embedded in moss – a symbol of strength, wildness, and the untamed power of the forest.
This sculpture unites earth, animal, and spirit in a unique composition. It is far more than mere decoration – it is a spiritual work of art that allows you to immerse yourself in the energy of the forest. On your altar or in your home, it can be a powerful companion, reminding you of your connection to nature and its beings.
I am happy to implement commissioned work or my own ideas for a specific piece of work, provided it is compatible with my way of working.
