Clay shrine to Hecate – Archaic altar for transitions and transformation
Clay shrine to Hecate – Archaic altar for transitions and transformation
Hand-shaped clay shrine with Hecate symbol · Integrated backflow incense cone
The shrine arrives safely packaged in recycled cushioning material, measuring 16x13x9cm and weighing 1.15kg.
This shrine is a place for reflection.
Made from traditionally fired clay, it combines archaic clarity with ritual depth. The incorporated symbol of Hecate represents thresholds, protection, and conscious decisions – those moments when paths open or close.
The integrated backflow incense cone holder allows the smoke to drift slowly downwards, creating a calm, contemplative atmosphere. The shrine offers an open space that can be used for small offerings – such as herbs, seeds, stones, or personal tokens – or for a tea light. This allows the shrine to be flexibly adapted to suit different intentions, times of day, or rituals.
This shrine is suitable as an altar for rites of passage, evening meditations, or quiet moments of gratitude. Its surface bears the marks of handcraft, earth, and fire. Minor irregularities are an expression of this archaic art form and make each piece unique.
I am happy to implement commissioned work or my own ideas for a specific piece of work, provided it is compatible with my way of working.
